How do I activate my domain, point it to my website hosting, or update my nameservers?

In this article we will describe how to activate your domain after you transfer or purchase it.

In this example we will explain how to point your new domain to your new CloudShop website hosting package.

These steps apply to cPanel hosting, if you are hosting a dedicated server or Exchange email - there may be additional steps involved.

  1. First, log into the client area. If you are already logged in, please click the dashboard link.
  2. Click 'Domains'
  3. Click the domain you wish to update
  4. Click Nameservers - in the left hand sidebar
  5. Update your nameservers to the below
  6. Save
  7. Please note it may take 4 - 12 hours for these settings to propogate across the internet.

What are our nameservers?
  1. ns1.cloudshop.net.au (Asia)
  2. ns2.cloudshop.net.au (Australia)
  3. ns3.cloudshop.net.au (America)
  4. ns4.cloudshop.net.au (Europe)

CloudShop's nameservers are located around the world. We recommend you add all four nameservers for the most effective global DNS propogation, and best website uptime.
